I talk about the problems in the current “eBay SEO industry”, including its avoidance of the subject of search engine optimization, its confusion of SEO with SEM, and its inexplicable dependence on seller-driven search.
Together we tackle two specific examples. In the first, we determine the best SEO keyword phrase from the seven phrases used by sellers to describe a toy I show in the video. I provide multiple reasons for selecting this phrase, and take you through the steps of writing an optimized eBay listing title.
In the second example, we take a look at some specific eBay search rankings for a former eBay SEO client, talk about when to research keywords from both eBay and Google, and get an overview of their analytics. The section includes a short discussion of listing impressions, click through rates, views, sales conversion rates, and total transactions.
Additionally, I reveal some of the ways listings disappear from Cassini search, discuss the benefits and limitations of the Google Keyword Planner for eBay SEO, talk about Cassini’s continued reliance on exact keyword matching, and answer a frequently asked question: “Do the main keywords for my product need to be at the front of my listing title?”
I wrap up the video with a brief talk about the future of TheEcoBunny YouTube channel and our eBay business in general.
